Martin Schulze übergibt „Ludwig 2023“ in der Kategorie Humanist

On June 19, the regional Mittelstandspreis “Ludwig” was awarded in the Stadthalle Troisdorf. As a jury member, CEO Martin Schulze was once again involved in selecting the winners and had the honor of delivering the laudatory speech in the “Humanist” category.
Two years ago, BusinessCode won the coveted Mittelstandspreis “Ludwig” in the “Unternehmensnachfolge” (Business Succession) category for its exceptional succession model. Since then, CEO Martin Schulze has remained loyal to the “Ludwig” as a juror. At this year’s award ceremony, he took the stage as a laudator for the second time.
Now a seasoned veteran on the “Ludwig” jury, Martin Schulze was able to bring his experience as both a participant and a jury member into the competition. Eighteen companies had applied for “Ludwig 2023,” from which an overall winner as well as winners in six categories had to be selected.
To this end, the jury reviewed and discussed the questionnaires submitted by the companies. As early as March, the jury members were able to get an impression of the participating companies at the nomination evening in the Universitätsclub Bonn. There, the companies introduced and presented themselves. Our CEO was thus able to make an initial selection of candidates.
After each jury member submitted and justified their decision during the jury session, the award ceremony took place in the Stadthalle Troisdorf. Traditionally, the jury members deliver the laudatory speeches and present certificates and prizes to the winners. Thus, our CEO stood on stage together with jury member and former “Ludwig” winner David Lee Schlenker of DLS Vollkorn Mühlenbäckerei to deliver the laudatory speech in the “Humanist” category. They presented the award and certificate to Bestattungshaus Hebenstreit & Kentrup, which has distinguished itself through years of work as a training company and its commitment to association work for the profession and its future. In addition, through their product innovations, they have succeeded in adapting a millennia-old service to the requirements of our time, as our CEO emphasized in his laudatory speech.
After the official part, the celebration continued in the foyer of the Stadthalle. Following a break from the “Ludwig,” the next round of the competition will continue in the fall. We’ll see if our CEO is once again involved as a jury member and helps select and honor the next winners.
