Schülerpraktikum bei BusinessCode

In January, we had a student intern at BusinessCode: Kirill was able to gain his first impressions of IT with us.

As part of his career exploration, 14-year-old Kirill completed his student internship with us. His supervisor was our employee Oleg, who can at least partly relate to the path. After all, he started at BusinessCode as a student and has now been a permanent employee for several years.

Kirill had been interested in IT and programming behind it for a long time, and since he personally knew Oleg, choosing the internship place was an easy decision. His first statement after a week in our office— with his own desk and his own tasks—was simply “Cool!”

During the week, Kirill learned Java, then first programmed a calculator and then directly an IBAN checker that, after entering the bank code and bank, ensures that you get the check number for the IBAN.

Kirill gladly accepted the commute from Cologne for this and found, in his own words, learning Java and the applications he programmed “very interesting.” His supervisor Oleg, with whom Kirill also shared an office during the internship, concluded with the words: “I would hire Kirill immediately!”

Who knows, maybe the student internship will open up a new career path at BusinessCode.
