Bonn logistics experts focus on intensive professional exchange at a high level and become members of the industry association BIEK.

Bonn, November 16, 2023 – Bonn-based BusinessCode GmbH has been an expert in logistics software for over 20 years. This made it a natural step to become a member of the Federal Association for Parcel and Express Logistics (BIEK) to intensify dialogue and exchange with the industry. “Digitization is a core topic in our industry and closely intertwined with other major issues such as labor shortages and sustainability. Our association is increasingly becoming a platform for the exchange of ideas and solutions,” explains Marten Bosselmann, Chairman of BIEK.

Since 1999, BusinessCode has developed into a central partner for modernizing the IT landscape in the CEP sector (courier, express, and parcel industry) with clients such as Deutsche Post DHL and Aramex. Among other things, BusinessCode supported a client in building a data warehouse to become a data-driven company. The Bonn IT experts also accompanied another globally operating client in building a service-oriented IT landscape, which today enables them to offer new and innovative logistics products.

Industry-specific topics such as service partner management, piece enablement, calculation of CO2 emissions in transport, and metrics for route optimization are part of everyday business for the Bonn-based company. Approaches from other areas, such as gamification, are repeatedly used to significantly increase software acceptance and usage. Most recently, BusinessCode has been supporting clients in using Power BI and Power Automate to quickly optimize manual workflows.

Software from BusinessCode clients can also be found in sea and air freight; Hellmann Worldwide Logistics, among others, works with solutions from Bonn.

CEO Martin Schulze is now pleased to share the company’s extensive expertise within the association. “Through our membership, we can discuss know-how with the industry that we have developed over two decades,” Schulze explains proudly. BusinessCode’s first appointment as a partner is BIEK’s Parliamentary Evening at the end of November in Berlin. The topic of discussion will be “Good work must pay off – for employees and companies.”

Marten Bosselmann shares this view. “The commitment and long-standing experience of the Bonn experts are of great value to the industry,” emphasizes Bosselmann.
