November 14, 2023 - Just three years after the management buy-out, BusinessCode has welcomed more than 10 new employees. Together, they’ve achieved an impressive 60% increase in revenue. The management buy-out brought new energy to the already successful company, releasing additional potential. CEO Martin Schulze sees this as the special aspect of this move. “There’s a difference between working in a leadership role and being both a leader and a shareholder,” comments Martin Bernemann, who was appointed as an additional managing director in 2020. For the shareholders, this decision was like founding a new company, stepping into previously unknown risks. Even though the company’s structure with its existing customers and employees was familiar, the question of responsibility took on a new dimension.
The idea for this special management buy-out came from the employees themselves. “Our culture of togetherness was the driving force behind standing up personally for BusinessCode in the coming years,” explains Martin Schulze. “After the takeover, we developed by leaps and bounds, grew, and were able to win new projects and new employees,” Schulze proudly emphasizes. The management buy-out sent a strong signal to both the workforce and the market.
For the coming years, Schulze and Bernemann see BusinessCode well positioned. “With our larger team, we’re even better equipped to support our customers with mega-topics like cloud migration, digital transformation, and data-driven decision making. Our continuous investments in the further training of our IT specialists, particularly in the field of artificial intelligence, are paying off.”
Additionally, the spin-off BlueBox Systems, founded in parallel with the management buy-out, achieved an international breakthrough this year and established itself as one of the leading companies in air cargo visibility.
